Where the Water Holds the Light

There is a moment in still water when everything becomes quieter, the reflection, the movement, even the space around it.

Where the Water Holds the Light explores that feeling through a large-scale contemporary composition built around contrast: light and shadow, stillness and movement, organic forms and graphic lines.

At the center, a black Buddha silhouette sits beneath a luminous golden moon. A branching tree rises alongside the figure, its illuminated leaves echoing the light of the moon. Lotus flowers emerge from the water below, surrounded by hand-painted ripples and reflections.

The surrounding flowers introduce bursts of pink, red and blue, creating a vivid frame around the central scene while maintaining the calm of the composition.

The work is entirely hand-painted in acrylic on canvas and created as a three-panel triptych.
